Poor show from RCB once again, failed to break the chain of defeat

The match no.17 of IPL 2019 played between KOLKATA NIGHT RIDERS and ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE was a must win match for boys of Bangalore.

Kolkata won the toss and decided to ball first.

RCB once again started with Kohli and Parthiv and made the intentions clear from the very first over by smashing 3 classical boundaries on Prasidha Krishna.

After seeing no help from the pitch, Kartik very smartly brought his spinners into the attack.

But in the 4th over, ball was once again into the hands of a seamer, L Ferguson. Virat smashed 13 runs with 3 boundaries in that very over.

Parthiv on the other side also contibuted well with Virat by smashing boundaries on Chawla.

With the end of first poweplay, RCB stood at 53 for none.

Story in the middle overs (7-15) :

Nitish Rana took the first wicket for RCB in the 8th over by sending Parthiv Patel back to pavilion with a straight ball LBW.

Kohli completed his fifty by smashing a delicate cut shot on P Chawla in the 11th over.

In the 12th over, ABD tried to hit a ball hard but the ball went high up in the air without covering the distance, luckily the catch was dropped by Ferguson.

Bouncing back, ABD hit two boundaries on Naraine in the 13th over and two sixes on Russel in the 14th over.

Nitish Rana was welcomed by Virat with a 4 & 6 in the 15th over and the over was packed up by DE Villiers with a maximum.

Sunil Naraine, after hitting some fabulous bondaries, gave the catch to Negi in the 2nd over. [10runs 8balls 2-4s]
