Delhi crushed its own leg against King XI Punjab

Batting first, Punjab put a target of 167 runs for Delhi Capitals with the help of power hitting by Miller and Sarfaraz.
Delhi Capitals started their innings well after the dismissal of P Shaw on the first ball. The 61 runs partnership between S Iyer and S Dhawan put Delhi in a comfort zone. After the wicket of these two, Pant and Ingram rotated the scoreboard well.
The one sided looking match for Delhi Capitals uptill the 16th over slipped from the hands of Delhi with the wicket of Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram.
Shami took the charge in the 17th over and after being hit a six by Pant, brought Punjab back into the game with the wicket of Pant.

Delhi lost its last 7 wickets within 8 runs ending up its total on 152-10 and thus an easy looking win turned into a close defeat for Delhi Boys.
However, the match added a memorable event for Sam Curran as he became the youngest bowler to take a hat-trick in Ipl.
