Alzarri Joseph, the debutant of Mumbai Indians seals the victory
The match no.19 of IPL 2019 was a low scoring match played between Mumbai Indians and Sunrises Hyderabad.SRH won the toss and decided to ball first.
Rohit and De Cock opened the bat for MI and the first over delivered by Bhubneshwar Kumar went with just 1 run and a drop catch of Rohit.
MI went for the aggressive approach and both the openers hit a six consecutively in the 2nd & 3rd over.
However, Nabi gave a break through with the dismissal of Rohit in the 4th over. [11 runs 14 balls 1-6s]
Next, Sandeep Sharma sent Suryakumar Yadav back to the pavilion in the 5th over. [7 runs 8 balls 1-4s]
MI ended the powerplay with just 30 runs on the scoreboard with two wickets down.
Story of middle overs (7-15) :
MI tried to pace up their innings as they were just on 42 runs after 8th over but unfortunately lost the wicket of De Cock in the 9th over. [19 runs 18 balls 1-4s 1-6s]
After the end of half innings of MI, scoreboard showed 53-3.

Nabi ended up his spell of 4 overs by conceding just 13 runs with a wicket.
Time for MI to gear up.!
Ishan smashed a boundary on Rashid in the 11th over but Siddharth Kaul immediately striked for SRH in the 12th over by sending Krunal Pandya back to the pavilion. [6 runs 13 balls]
The trend of wickets fall continued for MI and Ishan was run out by Vijay Shankar in the 13th over. [17 runs 21 balls 2-4s]
Now, Pollard and Hardik in the ground.
Only 75-5 with the end of 15th over.
Story of the last five of first innings (16-20):
Hardik tried to gear up in the 17th over by smashing a six on the first ball of Rashid but gave his wicket just after the two balls. [14 runs 14 balls 1-6s]
Rahul Chahar, the new batsman, smashed a boundary with a delicate cut on his first ball.
MI, 92-6 after the end of 17th.
The 18th over brought 5 runs and a wicket of Rahul Chahar and the scores summed up to 97-7.
MI fans got something to cheer in the 19th over as Pollard smashed 3 big sixes on the 1st, 3rd and 4th ball of the over.
117-7 after 19th.Pollard smashed a beautiful boundary on the first ball of the over and then a six and a four on the 5th ball & 6th ball respectively.
MI ended up with 136 for 7 on the scoreboard.
Pollard scored 46 out of 26 balls with 2-4s and 4-6s.

Warner & Bairstow on the ground for SRH, Behrendroff to start it for MI.
Bairstow started the first over by smashing a boundary on the 5th ball.The 3rd over brought 13 runs for SRH with three hard hit boundaries.
However, Rahul Chahar sriked for MI in the 4th over by sending Bairstow back to the pavilion. [16 runs 10 balls 3-4s]
This was for the first time in IPL 2019 that SRH lost a wicket in powerplay.
MI debutant, Alzarri Joseph sent Warner back to the pavilion on the first ball of his IPL career in the 5th over. [15 runs 13 balls 2-4s]
MI lost the chance to take the third wicket in the powerplay as Pollard dropped an easy catch of Manish Pandey.
SRH were 39-2 after the end of powerplay.
Story of middle overs (7-15) :
Alzarri Joseph again striked for Mumbai on the last ball of 7th over by sending Vijay Shankar back to the pavilion. [5 runs 10 balls 1-4s]
Deepak Hooda and Manish Pandey rotated the scoreboard thereon for SRH.
SRH reached upto 59 for 3 after 10 overs.
In the 11th over, Manish Pandey handed over the catch to Rohit Sharma and walked a long way back to the stands. [16 runs 21 balls]
Rahul Chahar once again striked in the 12th over by taking the wicket of Yusuf Pathan on a duck.
SRH's half team was back at the score of 63.
Nabi, the new batsman, smashed a six on Bumrah's last ball of 15th over.
Story of the decisive five overs (15-20) :
MI bounced back with the wicket of Deepak Hooda & Rashid Khan on the 4th & 5th ball of the 17th over.
Nabi, the last hope for SRH was sent back by Bumrah on the 4th ball of 18th over.
91-8 after 18.
Alzarri, the debutant completed its 5 wicket haul with the wicket of B Kumar on the first ball of 19th over. And then sealed up the innings of SRH with the wicket of S Kaul.
MI won the low scoring match with a big margin of 40 runs.
Alzarri Joseph became the best debutant of IPL history with a balling figure of 6 wickets for 12 runs in 3.4 overs.
