Rasikh Salam, the new surprise for India

Rasikh Salam

The 17 year old Mumbai Indians debutant of IPL 2019 is going to be the most important eye catcher for this IPL season. Born on 5th April 2001, the Kashmiri charm belongs from a small village of Kulgam distrrict of Kashmir and has made its way in the IPL under the mentorship of Irfan Pathan.

CAREER SO FAR

The Kashmiri boy made its List A debut for Jammu & Kashmir on 3rd Oct 2018 in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19.
Within two months, on 30th Dec 2018, the boy made its First class debut by playing for Jammu & Kashmir Ranji team.
Racing with a bullet train, the boy also did its T20 debut in next two months i.e. on 22nd Feb 2019.
Under the proper scouting and mentorship of Irfan Pathan the boy made its way to IPL and is picked up by Mumbai Indians on the base price of 20 Lakhs.

With such a short and fast growing career, the boy has attracted millions eyes while making debut for Mumbai Indians. Rasikh is the second Kashmiri boy after Parvez Rasool to play in the IPL. Despite conceding 42 runs in the 4 over spell with no wickets in hand, the line and length bowled by the boy has attracted the eyes of various star players.

However, the strife torn state of Jammu & Kashmir has got something good to celebrate this IPL. Though the few kashmiri boys has spoiled the reputation of Kashmir by stone pelting , this Kashmiri looked better with throwing something worthy. Infact, cricket ball suits in the hands of Kashmiris. Let's see how good the boy continues his journey.

Its always good to see a small town boy making its name. Let's wish a better luck to the boy for his upcoming games and hereby also pray for more Kashmiris to be introduced to the mainstream of India. Because Kashmir is the pride of India, and we people are proud of our Kashmiri brothers
